## Mastering Position in Texas Hold'em
Position is one of the most valuable concepts in poker. While beginners often focus only on the strength of their cards, experienced players understand that where you sit relative to the dealer can greatly influence every decision you make.
Players acting later in a betting round have the advantage of seeing how their opponents behave before making a decision. This additional information allows them to bluff more effectively, control the pot size, and avoid unnecessary risks.
Early positions require stronger starting hands because several players still have an opportunity to act after you. In contrast, players in late position can widen their starting hand range since they have more information available.
Developing strong positional awareness helps improve profitability, reduces costly mistakes, and gives players greater control over each hand. Position should always be considered together with stack sizes, player tendencies, and table dynamics before making important decisions.
